Water Laboratory
BONLAB’s water laboratory is responsible for analyzing water samples, such as drinking water, swimming pool water, sea water and other water types. The focus is on microbiological and chemical testing, including Legionella analysis.
Since 2008 BONLAB formally has a water laboratory which has been accredited by A2LA since 2022, serving as the benchmark lab for WEB. This state-of-the-art facility performs both microbiological and chemical tests on water samples provided by the water and electricity company of Bonaire (WEB). Additionally, BONLAB tests water from hotels that produce their own drinking water, ensuring these samples are regularly checked for legionella and that hotels comply with legionella management plans. Next to hotels, BONLAB also conducts tests for companies to checking for legionella.
In addition to analyzing drinking and pool water, BONLAB tests purified water from WEB’s wastewater treatment plant and conducts regular seawater tests for Stinapa.
